Tabaccheria N.5 | An Idea Shop

This idea was born during our reflective city walk in June 2025, part of the Hundred Languages of Educators course in Reggio Emilia. One of our participants imagined a small tabaccheria (see the photo below) turned into an idea shop, a place where good ideas are shared instead of products sold. A place where passersby might exchange thoughts, leave behind questions, pick up inspiration, or simply spend time with good ideas. A space for imagination, dialogue, and exchange.

Sometimes, a single spark of imagination is enough to open a door.

Tabaccheria N.5 is evolving into a community of practice — a playful, reflective space for educators and creatives who believe in the power of ideas, conversation, and reimagining the everyday.

This is a work in progress. We’ll hold our first online gathering in September to shape the idea together and begin designing our imaginary shop.
